Our solar golf cart roof panel kit and smart controller listed here is manufactured by SunGo Power Systems, in Gainesville, Florida. This kit produces 30% more power to the golf cart than any other brand of solar kit on the market. The difference is that Sungo uses photovoltaic panels which produce three to four times more output than competing kits that use film technology. The SG187 kit sold here will increase your driving time by 4-12 miles per day. Of course, the amount of increase depends on the time of year, driving conditions, time of day, etc. Depending on how often you need to use the cart and how much sun your solar panel receives, you may never have to plug in your golf cart!
This kit is for both a roof and solar panel. You will replace your roof with this 187 watt crystalline photovoltaic solar panel and roof kit. The roof kit will attach to your battery pack with supplied cables. This kit is perfect for neighborhood electric vehicles, personal golf carts, or fleet carts!
The use of this kit can eliminate up to 350 pounds of coal per year, by eliminating the need of only electricity to charge your batteries. It would also eliminate the emission of 1,100 lbs of CO2 PER YEAR into the atmosphere (based on using the cart to its maximum potential of 5 sun-hours of peak sun). *SunGo's smart MRRT charge controller is able to adjust constantly the solar panel operative voltage to obtain maximum power available. It then coverts this power to the proper multi-stage charge voltage based on the state-of-charge and ambient technologies. Many systems do not have these abilities and, therefore, only a portion of the solar panel's potential is utilized and the battery life is not maximized.
